Stability in Motion
A flexible, collaborative therapy approach specializing in ADHD, perinatal/postpartum, and navigating neurodivergent symptom changes amidst life transitions. Available in-person on Bainbridge Island, and through telehealth for Washington state residents.
At Tether & Tide, we find inspiration in the sea otter. To rest without drifting away, otters tether themselves to kelp forests—anchored to something solid while still moving with the natural rhythm of the water. For the neurodivergent brain, stability doesn’t come from perfect stillness; it comes from being securely held while allowing ourselves to flow.
Healing is about discovering your own anchor. We embrace play, curiosity, and the understanding that life transitions bring inevitable changes in how we experience the world. Our goal is to help you stay connected to your core self, even as the tides shift.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
A Collaborative Path
Healing is a collaborative, client-led journey. We work together to uncover what stability truly looks like for you, moving away from prescriptive models toward a felt sense of safety and balance. Our work often involves thinking outside the box and questioning the “norms” that dictate how we should exist in the world. We honor the reality that many of the systems we navigate were simply not built for neurodivergent bodies and lives. By centering your unique processing and sensory needs, we create a sanctuary where your agency is restored and your intrinsic wisdom is honored.
Laural Casal, LMHCA
Mom, PNW lover, Star Wars nerd, GF/DF eater, ADHD crafter, and audiobook reader.
My journey to this work was anything but linear. I’ve navigated a winding path through many different roles before finding my home in therapy. This journey informs my work today, fueling my belief that there is no single 'right' way to move through the world. I approach our sessions with an unwavering trust in your capacity for change and a focus on grounding your unique experiences in self-compassion.
My goal is to provide more than just clinical support; I want to create an atmosphere of comfort, curiosity, and possibility. Together, we’ll investigate what stability means for your life, making space for your authentic self to thrive in a world that wasn't always built for us.
